Update to Yesterday’s Blog

This morning in my email I received a notice that Jimmy Deenihan, TD, Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht today announced that the 1821-1851 census records, as well as the 1851 and 1861 Search Forms will be free from the National Archives of Ireland, in partnership with FindMyPast and FamilySearch.  To access the records at FindMyPast, you need to register, but do not have to have a subscription.  The FamilySearch records will be available in the near future.
