National Library

Manuscript Reading Room

The National Library is open for half a day on Saturday, so I spent the morning working is the Manuscript Reading Room.  This is a separate location, down the street from the main library.  Yesterday, using the online system, I requested a manuscript of estate records in an area close to where my Mackeys lived.  Their landlord, William Johnston doesn't have any estate records, so I'm working the area around them to see if I can find any additional Mackeys that might tell me where my Mathew was from.   I did find one Edward Mackey but that's not a given name passed down in the family.  I'll just file it away and keep looking.

Three of my researchers arrived today so we got together for dinner.  Everyone else is due in tomorrow.
